본 과목에서는 나날이 복잡해 지고 있는 최첨단 시스템들의 실제 개발 비용 및 기간을 단축시키기 위하여 인더스트리에서 널리 쓰이는 복합 시스템 모델링 기법들 및 이를 이용한 시뮬레이션 방법들에 대하여 공부한다. 학생들은 시스템의 모델링 컨셉 정의, 모델링을 위한 시스템 분할, 상세 모델링 및 통합 모델링에 대하여 공부한다. 그리고 기 구축된 시스템 모델들을 이용한 다양한 분석 기법들에 대하여 여러 예제들을 사용하여 공부한다. 또한 학생들은 본 강의에서 습득한 모델링 기법들을 이용하여 제조 시스템, 교통 시스템 및 유통 공급망 시스템 등의 복잡한 시스템 모델들을 구축하고 구축된 모델들을 과학적인 분석 방법들을 통하여 개선하는 프로젝트를 수행한다.

English Overview

In this course, various methods for complex system modeling, which are used to reduce actual development time and cost for cutting-edge systems with ever-increasing complexity, are introduced. Students will learn various modeling techniques and pros/cons of each modeling methodology using a simulation software. Students will also learn how to define an overall model concept, decompose conceptual model into appropriate sub-models, create detailed model, integrate the total system model and verify the final model. Also, using the system model constructed, students will learn various analysis techniques using numerous examples. Students will implement learned material through semester-long course projects, such as manufacturing system, transportation system, or other complex system modeling.
