Productivity 와 efficiency 분석 분야의 international scholar. SFA (확률적 프론티어 분석), DEA, Malmquist 생산성 지수 기반 방법론과 그 응용 연구로 광범위하게 활동했다. 2006 년 8 월 서울대에서 열린 APPC (Asia-Pacific Productivity Conference) 를 이정동 와 공동 organize 했고, 그 결과로 Global Economic Review 특집호 (Vol. 36 No. 4, 2007) 를 공동 편집했다.
